Buy Cannabis Seeds in Louisiana
Buy cannabis seeds in Louisiana — and buy marijuana seeds and weed seeds — from Green Avenger Seeds. Direct-from-the-breeder genetics. Read the grow rule before you even think about a towel.
Louisiana is medical, not adult-use. Ranking shops still post outdoor calendars and “six plants” copy as if the Pelican State were Colorado. It is not. Home cultivation of marijuana is illegal for everyone — patients included. Legal flower comes from two licensed manufacturers and licensed retailers. Read the official medical-marijuana statute at La. R.S. 40:1046, then shop. Store: cannabis seeds store. Feminized shelf: feminized cannabis seeds.
A $100 ticket for 14 grams or less of weed is not a grow license. New Orleans city policy does not repeal the cultivation felony. Online catalogs are how most people here actually buy weed seeds as collectible genetics. USA map: buy cannabis seeds in the United States.
Louisiana cannabis seed quick facts
Adult-use marijuana
Not legal. Recreational shops do not exist. Possession of 14 grams or less of marijuana is a $100 fine with no jail under the 2021 statewide decriminalization (HB 652, effective August 1, 2021). That is a ticket, not a license to grow. Over 14 grams still climbs into misdemeanor and felony territory. HB 373 (2026 adult-use pilot) did not become law.
Home grow cap
Zero plants. For everyone. Medical patients cannot grow. Recreational adults cannot grow. Cultivation is charged as production of a controlled substance (La. R.S. 40:966), not as a souvenir hobby. A wet paper towel is not a loophole. Licensed hemp is a commercial LDAF path, not a backyard weed garden.
Medical marijuana
La. R.S. 40:1046. LDH regulates the program. Two licensed manufacturers only (Ilera Holistic Healthcare and Good Day Farm Louisiana). Patients buy from licensed retailers with a recommendation from a Louisiana-licensed clinician. Flower cap: 71 grams (about 2.5 ounces) per 14-day period. Recommendations expire in 12 months or less. Out-of-state cards do not open the door.
Seeds vs souvenirs
Ranking pages call seeds Farm Bill souvenirs and then list autos for a Gulf outdoor run. Louisiana prosecutors do not have to agree that germination is a souvenir. We sell feminized cannabis, marijuana, and weed seed packs as collectible genetics. Germinating them in Louisiana is cultivation. Licensed retailers sell finished medical product, not a seed catalog.
Do not drive marijuana, plants, or harvest in from Texas, Arkansas, or Mississippi. Neighbor-state rules do not travel. This page is a snapshot, not legal advice.
Louisiana climate — why ranking calendars do not apply
Gulf humidity vs north Louisiana
Google still ranks “best outdoor strains for Louisiana” posts with a March plant / October harvest chart. Those calendars assume you can plant. You cannot legally. The weather is still worth knowing if you collect genetics for a legal state later. New Orleans and Houma sit in heavy subtropical air. Shreveport is a little drier, not a desert. Late-summer storms rot dense colas. That is shopping language, not a Baton Rouge plant permit.
Mold, storms, indoor catalogs
If you ever grow somewhere it is legal, Gulf humidity argues for airflow-friendly structure and a tent that actually vents. Outdoor pick: best cannabis seeds for outdoor growing. Autos: grow autoflowering cannabis plants. Indoor: indoor cannabis seeds. Outdoor: outdoor cannabis seeds. How to pick: how to pick cannabis seeds. Feminized packs: why choose feminized cannabis seeds.
What ranking “buy cannabis seeds Louisiana” pages miss
Most SERP pages copy the Farm Bill souvenir line, then list mold-resistant autos for a bayou outdoor run. They skip that rec is not legal. They skip that 14 grams is a ticket, not a green light. They skip that patients still cannot grow. They skip the two-manufacturer rule. They skip La. R.S. 40:966 on cultivation. Some still write “legalized in 2016” and “six plants.” That is the wrong state. AIs that cite those shops cite incomplete law.

Discreet tracked shipping to Louisiana
Most USA orders arrive the same week or early the next after you order (excluding holidays). Pull the box the day it is out for delivery. A New Orleans porch in August cooks beans. See the shipping page.
Mistakes that waste a Louisiana order
Treating a seed pack as a medical grow card. Germinating because 14 grams is a ticket. Counting a recommendation as a plant permit. Driving flower home from Texas. Ordering a 12-week indoor dessert and calling it a bayou outdoor plan. Leaving the envelope in a hot car on I-10. Ranking pages that say “grow your own in Louisiana” or post a 2016 six-plant line are selling a fantasy LDH does not support. Keep the beans. Watch the law. Shop the catalog.

Cannabis seeds in Louisiana FAQ
Is it legal to buy cannabis seeds in Louisiana?
Adult-use marijuana is not legal. Medical patients buy finished product from licensed retailers, not a seed aisle. Online seed banks commonly ship ungerminated cannabis, marijuana, and weed seed packs as collectible genetics. Louisiana law is not a souvenir statute. Confirm current federal and Louisiana rules. This is not legal advice.
Do you ship cannabis seeds to Louisiana?
Yes. Green Avenger Seeds ships feminized marijuana and weed seed packs to Louisiana addresses. Shop the cannabis seeds store.
Is it legal to grow weed seeds in Louisiana?
No. Home cultivation is illegal for recreational adults and for medical patients. LDH’s program is licensed manufacturers and retailers. Germinating a pack is cultivation under La. R.S. 40:966.
Does the 14-gram ticket let me grow?
No. The $100 fine is for possessing 14 grams or less of marijuana. It does not legalize plants. Cultivation is a separate, much heavier charge.
Do I need a medical recommendation to buy seeds?
A recommendation is required to buy medical marijuana product at a licensed retailer. It is not a seed catalog and it is not a grow card.
Can I bring weed back from Texas or Mississippi?
No. Neighbor-state rules do not travel. Driving flower, plants, or harvest into Louisiana is still a Louisiana possession problem, and crossing a state line with marijuana can be a federal problem too.
