Ordering Seeds in Canada Without the Runaround

Buy Cannabis Seeds Canada from a breeder shop that packs in Eastern Canada and hands the envelope to Canada Post. You pay in Canadian dollars. You are not booking a warehouse tour.

Shop feminized cannabis seeds, or open the cannabis seeds store. Province pages at the bottom are the local doors. This page is the national one. If you live in the United States, skip to the orange box further down.

What buying seeds in Canada looks like in 2026

A kitchen-table order, not a warehouse tour

You pick a named pack. You pay. A plain mailer shows up. That is the whole transaction. Green Avenger Seeds has sold direct from the breeder since 2020. The shop is the front door. The work is the farm.

What you pay for besides the pack

Genetics, packing, and someone who answers email

The seed is the cheap part of a season. The expensive part is four months on the wrong plant. You are paying for a named cross, flower weeks, and a height you can fit. You are also paying for a crushproof vial in a boring envelope, and a contact page that is a real inbox.

The rules before you click checkout

Federal home-grow cap versus seed possession

The federal rule for non-medical growing is four cannabis plants per household, not per adult. A seedling counts. A mother plant counts. Cities, landlords, and condo boards can tighten that. Public possession is 30 grams of dried cannabis or the equivalent. One seed in your pocket counts as one gram of that public limit. Seeds in a cupboard are not four plants under a light. A 10-pack does not raise the plant cap to ten.

Quebec and Manitoba are not Ontario

  • Ontario and most provinces: four plants per household. Age 19, except Alberta, where it is 18. A lease can still say no.
  • Quebec: personal cultivation is prohibited, including planting seeds. Age 21. A pack in the mail is not permission to germinate it. Fine for four plants or fewer in a dwelling-house: $250 to $750.
  • Manitoba, since 1 May 2025: adults 19 and older may grow up to four plants, indoors only, locked or unreachable by anyone under 19, at one residence. Not outdoors. Official page: You can grow cannabis at home in Manitoba.

Seeds are not a permission slip

We ship the seeds. We do not ship a local exemption. Read your province page before you treat a bean like a starter plant. Quebec: buy cannabis seeds in Quebec. Manitoba: buy cannabis seeds in Manitoba.

Need more than four plants? That is an ACMPR registration

Some customers may grow more than four. That is a Health Canada medical certificate, still called ACMPR. It is not a bigger recreational tent. You do not plant the extra plants until the certificate is in your hand. Health Canada’s own examples: 1 gram a day is 5 plants indoors or 2 outdoors. 3 grams a day is 15 indoors or 6 outdoors. You do not run both at once. You cannot sell the harvest. A 5-pack fits four plants. A higher certificate needs more named packs, not a warehouse.

How a Canadian order usually moves

Packed in Eastern Canada, then Canada Post

After payment clears, weekday orders ship within 48 to 72 hours. The outside is a plain mailer. The inside is a crushproof vial. There is no customs desk on a Canadian address.

Typical windows by region

These are what we see once Canada Post has the parcel. They are not a courier promise. Winter can add a day. A wrong unit number can add a week.

  • Atlantic1–3 business days
  • Ontario and Quebec2–4 business days
  • Prairies3–5 business days
  • British Columbia4–6 business days
  • Yukon, NWT, NunavutLonger. Weather and flights decide.

Atlantic, Ontario and Quebec, Prairies, BC, North

Closer to the pack bench is faster. The Pacific coast is the long domestic haul. The North is its own timetable. Rates and the reship option: shipping. How the envelope is built: discreet shipping. January porches: shipping seeds in winter.

Why weekends and holidays sit

Canada Post does not collect a seed order on Thanksgiving Monday because the site took the money on Sunday. Statutory holidays and weekends sit in the packing queue. Order on a Monday if you need the pack before a trip. Card payments also wait until the charge clears.

Pack sizes that fit four plants

3-pack, 5-pack, and 10-pack

  • 3-pack. One named line. Almost no spare. Fine if you already know the plant.
  • 5-pack. Four in the pots and one left if a bean fails. This matches a household cap.
  • 10-pack. A second run, or the start of a medical certificate that allows more than four. Without that certificate you still flower four at a time.

Named feminized packs versus a mixed bag

The catalog is feminized photoperiod seed. A named pack tells you the cross, the weeks, and the height. A mixed feminized bag is the cheap way to see several plants. It will not tell you which one finishes before a Prairie frost. The mix is its own product: cheap cannabis seeds in Canada.

When the mix is smart

Buy the mix for practice, when you are not betting a harvest date on one finish. Buy the named pack when the weeks and the height are why you clicked. A cheap seed does not turn a 10-week flower into three weeks. Named packs that come in under the published germination check are handled on the seed FAQ. Mixed packs are not that check. Where planting is legal, the steps are cannabis seed germination.

Payments Canadians actually use

Interac e-Transfer, card, and crypto

Three rails. Interac e-Transfer from a Canadian bank. A credit card, which shows on the statement as N.G.S. and ships only to the cardholder. Crypto if that is the rail you already use. Prices on the site are CAD. Follow payment information. Do not invent a message in the transfer notes. Promos, when any are running: cannabis seed promos.

Why one rail only is a yellow flag

Crypto-only is a yellow flag. Wire-only is a red one. A Canadian buyer should be able to use e-Transfer without opening a coin account. One rail means a declined payment has nowhere else to go.

If you are in the United States

This page is the Canada door

You found the Canadian buyer’s guide. The US page is the one that covers American orders. Go there and stay there: buy cannabis seeds in the United States.

US packing still starts in Canada, then USPS takes it

The parcel is packed in Eastern Canada. After it crosses, USPS carries it. That is a border crossing, not a domestic American drop. Compare it with a European shipment, not with a warehouse already inside the United States. Toronto is on the Canada Post windows above. Texas is not.

Card, crypto, and CAD prices. Interac will not help you.

US buyers pay by card or crypto. The price on the site is still Canadian dollars. Interac e-Transfer is a Canadian bank rail. It will not move money from a US account. Planting rules are yours. We sell the seeds.

What a listing must show before you buy

Flower weeks, height, indoor or outdoor, fem or regular

Read the listing like a label. You want flower weeks, a height, indoor or outdoor, and feminized or regular. If those lines are missing, you are guessing with the only plants the law gives you. Our store pages are feminized photoperiods unless a listing says otherwise.

Price per seed after you divide the pack

Divide the pack price by the seed count. Do it in CAD. A 10-pack that looks expensive is often the cheaper bean. A 3-pack of a plant that will not finish before your frost is still a wasted season. Named lines from this shop land around a few dollars a seed once you do that division. The dollar mix is the budget door. Compare those two on purpose.

  • Pack count and the price in CAD.
  • Feminized or regular.
  • Flower time in weeks, not a slogan.
  • Height you can fit.
  • Indoor, outdoor, or both.
  • A photo of the actual pack.

Pros and cons of a Canadian breeder shop

Pros

  • No border on a Canadian order. Days, not one to three weeks.
  • CAD pricing. Interac, card, and crypto.
  • A 5-pack matches four plants, with one spare.
  • Someone reads the contact form.

Cons

  • Weekends and holidays add days. This is not same-hour courier.
  • BC and the territories wait longer than Halifax.
  • A seed order does not legalize a Quebec garden or a Manitoba backyard.
  • The $15 reship is an option at checkout, not the default on a tiny pack.
  • Interac does not work for a US bank.

Mistakes that delay a Canada order

Wrong unit number

Apartment, suite, and unit belong in the address. Canada Post stalls mail that does not match the buzzer. Card orders that do not match the cardholder get cancelled.

Skipping tracking on a bigger pack

Canada and USA guaranteed shipping is the $15 checkout add-on. If tracking shows the seeds were never delivered, that option is the reship. If you skip it, a lost envelope stays lost. A 10-pack is worth the tick. Confirm the price on the shipping page.

A winter envelope left on the porch

A January porch in Edmonton is a freezer. A July mailbox in Montreal is an oven. Bring the mailer inside the day it is out for delivery. Cold, then a radiator, kills a good pack before it sees soil.

Questions people ask

Can I order in every province?

Yes. Adults can order to every province and territory. Growing is the part that changes. Quebec prohibits recreational planting. Manitoba allows up to four indoor plants under the May 2025 rules. Most other provinces allow four per household. A Health Canada medical certificate is the ordinary way past that number.

How long does a typical pack take?

Weekday packing is 48 to 72 hours after payment clears. Then use the regional window above. Weekends and statutory holidays sit.

Do I need a credit card?

No. Interac e-Transfer is the rail most Canadians use. Card and crypto are there if you want them. The payment page has the steps.

Do you also ship to the USA?

Yes. Packing still starts in Canada, then USPS takes it. Interac will not help a US bank. Use card or crypto, and read the United States seed page instead of this one.

When the province page answers the local question, come back to the store and buy the pack that fits four plants, or an ACMPR registration if you need to grow more.
